Bio

Born and raised in the vibrant streets of San Antonio, Texas, ILLA embodies the relentless hustle and creativity of the hip-hop world. With over 14 years in the game, ILLA is far more than just a rapper; he’s a true multi-hyphenate. A rapper, singer, songwriter, producer, mix engineer, graphic designer, clothing designer, and visionary, he carries the weight of his dreams on his shoulders and turns his diverse talents into an unstoppable force.

ILLA’s journey into music began with a spark of inspiration from some of the biggest names in hip-hop. The influences of Eminem’s lyrical genius, 50 Cent’s street-smart swagger, Chamillionaire’s southern sound, and Kid Cudi’s genre-blending vibes have been instrumental in shaping his sound. Wiz Khalifa, a frequent source of inspiration, is someone ILLA dreams of collaborating with one day, a testament to his love for the fusion of rap and melodic hooks that Wiz does so effortlessly.

His debut project, “The New Mixtape,” made waves on Datpiff.com, and while his very first song remains unreleased, ILLA’s catalog is filled with tracks that showcase his evolution as an artist. His latest release “P.A.P.E.$ $W” is set to continue this trajectory, setting the stage for his upcoming Texas and Carolina tour.

When it comes to production, ILLA is a hands-on creator. With the help of talented producers like AUGSZILLARY, J Storm, Zomala, and 3rdprsun, he crafts beats that resonate with his unique sound. But it doesn’t stop there—ILLA’s own beats under the moniker 747BeatZ add a personal touch to his music, making every track distinctly his.

Despite his independent status, ILLA isn’t opposed to signing a deal, but he’s clear about his goals: a distribution deal would be ideal, allowing him to maintain creative control while amplifying his reach. His biggest supporters, like the fans he’s connected with on the Keep It A Benjammin Tour in 2022, at Rolling Loud 2024, and 2025 stand as a testament to his genuine connection with his audience. Two other people who inspire him are his colleague Miguel, who is his business partner at Tone City Creative Studio, and his long time friend and collaborator Gilbert (G) Ortiz.

Looking ahead, ILLA sees himself touring overseas, sharing his music on a global scale. Atlanta is at the top of his list of places to perform, a city known for its rich musical culture and influence in the hip-hop world.

Whether it’s through his beats, his lyrics, or his designs, ILLA is carving out a legacy that transcends music. He’s a visionary, a creative force, and a testament to what happens when passion and perseverance equals success.
