I am ILLA747, welcome to my world. Singer-songwriter, audio engineer/producer from Tx. Foundation is hip hop but i work with various sounds incl stoner rap (smoke sum), alt, rock, r&b, new wave etc. I keep an open mind. Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, Eminem, and 2Pac are my biggest inspirations. There are more to mention across all genres but these came to mind 1st. 

I remember being in 4th and 5th grade making my own mixtapes out of blank cassettes from the dollar store so i’d have music to jam on the bus the next day. Those tapes were usually flooded with music from the above mentioned artists. This is where the love began. I remember listening to songs and trippin on how the artists were saying whatever they wanted with no filter (other than radio edits), and how the subjects were more in sync with my reality and the side of town i grew up on. In 5th grade i learned how to play violin, then the sax in jrhigh. By 7th grade i became focused on lyrics and started freestyling with friends and writing down verses from my favorite songs. By the end of senior year i was in the booth(Took me a while bc hoops was life). Less than 2 years later i began watching vids on rec and engineering and taught myself how to due to lack of creative freedom at the studio i was at/lack of $ to record elsewhere at the time. Since then ive been on the same stage as Devin The Dude, E-40 ,Young Thug, Curren$y, and Dizzy Wright to name a few. #chieflife IS THE BRAND AND THE LIFESTYLE?
